Training is the foundation of our OPCMIA. It’s at the core of everything we do. It’s the reason why we have the most skilled, talented, safe and productive plasterers and cement masons on the planet. It’s why our contractors have a leg up on winning jobs. It’s why we’re organizing and growing.
That’s also why last week was a very special week for us, because it’s when we held our annual OPCMIA International Training Fund (ITF) Instructor Training Program.
Some 75 OPCMIA instructors from the U.S. and Canada gathered at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan to continue and advance their own education in computers, learning technology and adult education.
They will take the knowledge, skills and techniques they learned last week and spread it across our two nations to the direct benefit of OPCMIA pre-apprentices, apprentices and journeypeople. Our award-winning training programs will be even better as a result, and our members’ craftspersonship will grow even stronger.
It is my great hope that last week’s Instructor Training Program will spearhead ever-greater participation all of the ITF’s world-class programs.
Congratulations to all the participants in the 2022 Instructor Training Program!
